I found the solution to my problem was the host name that I put in of smtp.comcast.net. Upon doing a host on this I got the following info:

# host smtp.comcast.net
smtp.comcast.net is an alias for smtp.g.comcast.net.
smtp.g.comcast.net has address 76.96.30.117

I changed the "Relay host for messages leaving the local internet domain:" to smtp.g.comcast.net and it started working. I am curious why it wouldn't accept the alias of smtp.comcast.net
